This hotel has appeared in numerous rankings and is often regarded as one of the top 100 hotels worldwide. Even though I was not a big fan of the room design, everything else was perfect. The staff is excellent (the concierge managed to get us last minute tickets for a sold-out baseball game) and all rooms and restaurants have spectacular views of the city. It is definitely not the cheapest hotel, but you will get good value for your money.

with all the hype I had heard- my expectations were very high. And they were matched. Yes it is outrageously expensive - BUT when you put it in context of the price of things generally in Japan- it doesn't stand out as much. The room was lovely - the views are great etc- but the BEST thing about this place are the staff. Every interaction you have with every one of the staff is outstanding. There is nothing they cannot do. I thought the service was so amazing in the bar- i specifically went out of my way to tell the management about it. Seriously good and sad that this stands out so much in ONE hotel. Don't think about the mortgage - just soak it up. a lovely experience.

Room Tip: i don't think there can be a badd room. they are all on at least the 41st floor...

We had a lovely afternoon tea at this hotel. The view from the floor to ceiling windows was amazing. The food was excellent and plentiful. We would recommend having afternoon tea even if you are not staying in the hotel.

I was blown away by this hotel. The Bamboo Garden, the library, the cafe shop....everything is visually stunning and will sweep you off your feet! I was completely impressed by the size of all the public outlets- everything has a completely different theme, walking from room to room. Of course the top floor Bar is in itself a treat- besides being obsessed with Lost in Translation, the bar has incredible views albeit an expensive cocktail menu. Service, decor, location...everything is spectacular. A MUST see and/or stay when in Tokyo!!!!
