Stayed here for 2 nights with family. 5 star amenities, great and caring staff, cleanliness beyond comparison and good location. Shuttle service twice every hour to the nearest tube station.
Highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Tokyo.

Important bits first.
Good bits.
The shuttle bus is very good and being japan efficient.
Check in easy and fast.
Staff very polite
The rooms clean large comfortable
Bathroom spotless don’t need to bring any toiletries and even the tooth brush is provided.

Bad bits.
Went to the bar for a drink place was empty a bit over formal there is a fine line and I think went too far.
The bar prices are very expensive ordered a cocktail was very nice but very small served in a martini glass.
The waiter had hardly no English
And then you get a service charge in the bar bill.
No wonder it was as empty

My experience
After check in and found we had a city view room even tho I had asked for the gardens view I asked if we could be moved and they did the next day. If booking get the garden view if possible it’s very nice (see photo) other then that I can’t fault the place.
Very grand looking very formal service but friendly staff.
Did not eat here but there is a 7/11 just up the street which had great breads and bit like that.
Easy to get to the main areas. Enjoyed it was slightly away from the mayhem of the city. If you miss the last shuttle bus back a taxi is 1200 yen from the Twain station and from Shinkyo was 2000 yen. Handy enough. Extended our stay by 1 day which they were happy to do. All we had to do was as pack our bags go out and when we got back everything moved for us.
Stayed in the 8th floor. Room 809
Would I stay or recommend the hotel. Yes to both

The position is near to Waseda University, 750 m from Waseda station. Not restaurants or shop nearby. A nice park in front of the hotel (I suggest room with park view).

The hall is very big, with many people as staff. The biggest problem is that the staff, even the staff at reception, do not understand english. The speak in fact very little english. We found it disappointing , considering the price of the hotel.

The room was big, furnished in old style. The bathroom of right size, but with an old bathtube and not the shower.

The gym is not suitable for workout, only for run but not weight equipment. Very expensive 5400 yen. Not worth at all. Same price for the pool. Both not included in the (high) room price.

The housekeepers knock too many times in order to check is the room has been cleaned, even in the early morning.

Many nice but expensive restaurants and a nice bar with amazing view on the park.

Our stay was exceeding our high expectations from start to finish. The hotel has a classy feel and style to it that is reminiscent of times where service and care was the highest priority. The lobby in itself is beautiful and worth a visit. We received a room on 25th floor with panoramic views of hiroshima and the entire peace memorial park. The service reflects this too as it is truly marvelous and we couldn't ask for more. We will guaranteed stay here again.l ln our next trip.

In Tokyo for a few days on business and Rihga Royal delivered perfectly. Quietly away from the touristy parts of Shinjuku but free shuttle to Takadanobaba station gave us the access needed. Great breakfast buffet that came with executive floor occupancy. Clean and roomy. Friendly staff. Will definitely consider staying here again.
