The Roppongi Grand Hyatt has retained the same high standards over the years - good size well equipped rooms (able to accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids), good onsen and pool.  Quality and far cheaper restaurants can be found in the office tower next door (note the 6th floor access from the hotel becomes the 5th floor in the office tower); drinking in the Hyatt is expensive.  Worth visiting the observation platforms and mori museum.  You trade parks for night life between the central hotels and Ropponggi (there is no good place to jog) but the Hyatt is still well situated for business and train stations.

Stayed here for just one night (sadly) en route back to the UK after a holiday around Japan. I wish we could have stayed longer - everything about this place is perfect.

Rooms are big, full of useful gadgets and spotlessly clean. Bath/WC/Shower area is almost as big as the huge bedroom. Plenty of TV channels (in English) to flick through and in room high speed wifi provided for free.

Location is excellent as the hotel is just above the subway line. Staff really helpful even at 4 am when we checked out!

Will look forward to staying here again and hope to actually have time to use the pool this time!

Great location for Roppongi hills so plenty of choice locally for shopping and restaurants. Nice touches in the hotel. Great bathrooms and duvets. Quiet inside which is great for such a bustling area. Excellent restaurants, great gym and swimming pool? Excellent customer service and the limousine bus takes you to and from airport door to door

I've stayed at several hotels in Tokyo incl. Conrad, Peninsula and Ritz-Carlton, but the Grand Hyatt is the only hotel I've chosen to stay at for work and for fun due to great location and good value.

Room Tip: Further away from the elevator bank the better, as sound proofing is surprisingly sub-standard.

I stayed at the Grand Hyatt for six nights in April 2012 on a holiday. This was my third stay, and the hotel still runs like clockwork. The concierge team are superb, the beds are very comfortable and the showers excellent. The bedside reading lights, often overlooked even in smart hotels, are superb. The sheets are literally the softest I have slept in. There is a good gym and a pretty indoor pool. The hotel has Roppongi subway station just outside it (four stops to Ginza), and is adjacent to the excellent Roppongi Hills shopping mall, cinema and art gallery.

The club rooms (I stayed in 1811) are particularly nice and they allow you access to the 10th floor lounge, which provides breakfast as well as snacks and drinks in the early evening, and soft drinks all day. An example of the attention to detail is that the club champagne is not some cheap sparkling wine but Louis Roederer, arguably the best non-vintage champagne. The club also has a small outdoor terrace area.

I travel extensively around the world and this is as good as a modern hotel in a city gets.

Room Tip: Club floors are good
