Picking a hotel in a foreign land that you've never visited is daunting. We researched as best we could from home and went with the highest rated in our budget, and boy did we luck out!
Americans, be forewarned; the hotel rooms in Tokyo are SMALL! However, Japanese are masters of efficiently using available space. After settling in we quickly got over our "size shock" because we did indeed have the space needed.
I have to give special mention to the team at the concierge desk. We approached them 3 separate times during our stay for various needs. The level of courtesy and efficiency is, quite frankly, astounding! Unfortunately I did not get her name, but there is a shorter woman, who I'm guessing in her 50's, that was exceptional. It felt like our mom was taking care of us. I wanted to take her home with us. Such a delight!More
