Looking for a place to come to unwind from the busy streets of Akihabara? This place provides that quiet time you need plus cute, playful cats. Grab a coffee and take a seat because there are cats galore.

The cat toys are a free for all and you can buy cat snacks for 500 yen. I feel this place is such a calming environment and the cat helpers are genuinely caring for their cats.

Definitely recommend!

Instructions were given in clear English that you pay how long you've been there and a base amount for unlimited drinks.

The cats are so cute and very sleepy, lots of lovely breeds of cat! Those people who work there have the greatest job ever!!!!
Can wander about and stroke or play with the cats. There are also board games you can play with each other.

I chose to feed the cats for 500 yen extra, you have the option of a lollipop or a bowl and spoon. I went for the spoon, and the moment the woman disappear to fetch the stuff the cats all knew what was going to happen and immediately woke up and assembled.

They're a greedy bunch! They do try to grab the spoon and lean up against you, i'm fine with this as i have 2 cats at home which try to do this to me all the time! They have their claws trimmed so unlike at home its not painful and sharp and scratchy.

If you miss you're cats at home it's a fab place to indulge in some feline attention and cuddles.

Located on the second floor of a building on Sotokanda in Akihabara (Electric City). This was my first time in one of these facilities. Well run facility with plenty of cats that obviously get lots of attention. The staff was friendly, but a note of caution......you are charged per 10 minute interval that you spend socializing with the cats. If you lose track of time, you can run up quite a tab! You must try this at least once.....

The staff is very friendly. There are many cats of various breeds, ages and sizes. As one would expect, some are more interested in engagement than others. Feeding the cats snacks is well worth it. Lots of new friends and brings out their inner true characters.

We went just to see what the cat cafe thing was all about. It turns out to be a really calming (if not bizarre) experience. The cats are extremely well looked after and obviously happy, they have places to escape to if they're not bothered, they get taken for regular breaks and there are strict rules to protect their welfare. The staff obviously love the cats! The optional drinks at an extra charge are from a vending machine but we weren't there for that anyway. Go if you're near, if there's a queue it goes down quickly!
