Wow! Thought I’d finally found my perfect uk retreat. On arriving we were greeted with adorable donkeys just roaming free. We entered the gates and then struggled for some time with the lock box, but eventually we were in.
What a gorgeous house we had chosen with a lovely reception area.
Living room had two huge sofas and a large tv with surround sound. I did see a sky Q remote but was unable to work it. However, the tv has free view and smart tv so it had Netflix and prime installed if you need that film fix. The lounge also has huge sliding French doors that open up to the garden, but they where extremely heavy and hard to operate so I ended up just opening one section just to let air in because it was extremely stuffy.
The kitchen is great, all mod cons and everything you need is there including a dish washer.. We did struggle however to work the hob. Who new you had to put the pan on to make it start working. Not me.
Dining is in a lovely area with a huge dining table and leather chairs. Again sliding doors and no windows.
There’s also a small laundry room with washing machine, dryer and ironing board.
just outside is a place to wash your dog with a Heated shower when you get home from the long walks. But be quick, it gets very hot very quick. Just to add there are light coloured carpets through out which isn’t ideal for dirty dogs.
Bedrooms are lovely, but my wife did comment that there was know where to sit and do her hair and make up.
So despite this being one of the best places we have stayed in, I cannot recommend it because of the noise from the pub next door. If you are watching tv in the evening then you have to shut sliding doors and then it gets very uncomfortable because there’s no air. During the day if you want to sit in the garden in piece and quite, forget it. The pubs children’s play area is right next to the fence. You might as well be in the pub. Kids screaming all day and late into the evening became quite unbearable. Such a shame because the house is lovely.
