“Lovely lodge for a couple (or two) in a really nice location”

The lodge was really great to stay in, well furnished and attractive. The only thing we were lacking was a freezer, but apart from that all the cooking utensils and everything else was provided. Good wifi. Parking space. Comfy sofas and bed. A local tesco and pub, what else could you ask for! Highly recommend the chinese restaurant within walking distance (especially on thursdays and sundays as its a buffet on those days!). Frinton on sea (beachy) and Walton on the naze (more walky) 15 minute drives away, both lovely locations.

“Basic and welcome needed”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The accommodation itself is adequate. No welcome pack or welcoming host. Internet did not work. Lights upstairs and in hall did not work. No coffee making equipment. No guidance on where rubbish goes. No helpful tourist info.

Management Response

Guest reported wifi problem & I purchased booster, wifi still no go. I called in engineer it turned out guest had pushed button on wifi box back to factory settings. Dustbin just outside front door. Tea, coffee, milk and sugar in property so not sure what guest means regarding welcome pack?

Stayed here for a bank holiday weekend and so glad we did. Lovely spacious lodge with superb decor and facilities kept to a very high standard. Easy walking distance of the village which had everything you would need for short or even long term stay. The owner obviously takes great pride in this lodge and you can tell... Highly recommended to anyone

“Wonderful weekend getaway!”

Just got back from our stay at Acorn Lodge. The barn was spacious for 2 adults and 3 small children. Well equipped with everything you would need. Clean and beautifully decorated. The owner was lovely and accommodated our needs. Peaceful, quite and very secure.

Would recommend Harry's Restaurant and Bar for a top notch evening meal, which was a short walk from the barn.

Frinton beach was a short 10 minute car ride. With free parking all along the esplanade.

Will be staying again in the future, felt like a second home!

Thanks again!
