Max rating to confirm previous reviews. Great Spot !! Very isolated, charming, heaven for family with children. Around property there are cats, rabbits, roosters, lemon & chestnut tree ... !! For a great local restaurant go to Casa Mi Suegra in Tegueste wine route ... .. . We'll be back !! Thanks Carlos.

“Excellent choice for nature lovers, quiet and very comfortable for families”

It has been second time that we chose Finca El Roque for our family holiday stay on Tenerife. We have spent 16 nights in September-October 2013. When planning our trip to the Canary Islands we had no doubt as to where to stay again. And here’s why.
The house is located in the north-east part of Tenerife some 20-30 minutes’ drive from the northern Los Rodeos airport. It is neighboring a rural park Anaga which is a large natural reserve in the north-east part of the island – a real precious stone for hiking lovers. The forest literally begins on the property’s land and continues into the natural park area.
The house is located on a large land plot on a hill slope so you can even have a short walks around. Check the earth-road at the back of the old white warehouse. It will take you up the hill to the wonderful smelling eucalyptus trees and you will still be standing on the property’s land observing the house downhill. The property is covered with chestnut trees and blackberry bushes. Go ahead and try – both taste very good! In clear sky you will see Teide volcano from the house as well as enjoy great views on surrounding hills and valleys.
Shops, supermarkets, pharmacy, cafes and restaurants can be found in various directions some minutes’ away drive from the house. San Cristobal de La Laguna is 10-15 minutes away and most of the things one need can be found there. Besides it’s a very nice place to explore on foot – its historical center has been declared a world heritage by UNESCO. Check the local farmers market in Tegueste (follow the sign “Mercadillo agricultor” in one of the roundabouts) on Saturdays and Sundays for locally grown mangos and avocados and other treats.
The house is very nice decorated and clean, well equipped and thoroughly kept. We found it as good as it was one year ago. There are lots of things for children like swings, tree house, toys and more. And our five year old daughter loved it all.
Summing up after two times on Tenerife we still think it’s the best place to stay for nature and quietness lovers. Will come again and definitely recommend.

“What a fantastic , quiet, remote, perfect, central place to stay!!”
Reviewed 5 November 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Carlos the host met us on arrival, to take us from the gateway to the property, he went though the information we needed to stay at the property this information was accurate and enabled us to make the most of the property.
The property is well situated between two of the main towns in the North of Tenerife and easily accessible to the main road taking you around the Island. The highlight was the journey to Mount Tiede but unfortunately the last cable car part of the journey was halted due to high winds, a reason in the future to return! on way back down to the South of the Island there was an array of different landscapes once again.
Our favourite supermarket was the Auchen at La Laguna but the Super Dino very near to the property had most items for a quick shop.
We enjoyed the house as it was so quiet and the sunsets were fabulous with Tiede in the background, we I am sure will return.

“The Finca was lovely and private with great views as a bonus”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 for a stay in May 2013

One of the best accommodations we have had. due to the fact that it was so private. The location was perfect and if you like it quiet it doesnt get any more peaceful than Located at 1800 meters with clear clean air the night sky was awesome too.Hosts (two brothers) were hip and friendly plus being very professional. The views were magnificent and the Finca itself very comfortable. Great beds and good bed clothes soft breathable cotton. It is an ideal place for a family with kids lots of safe land for the kids to wander and play. LOVED IT

“fantastic, the pure relax :-))”
Reviewed 26 August 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We really enjoyed the stay at Carlo's Finca. The place could not have been better for a family like us (travelling with a 1 year old child) There were loads of toys for in- and outside, a tree house, a baby carrier, a buggy, a babybed and even children's cuttlery. The kitchen and all the rooms are decorated beautifully and there is nothing missing. As Pedro Alvarez is a nice base for all kind of excursions, we explored the region but were also seduced to stay home, as the garden is inviting for just relaxing in the hammock or on the longchairs. Carlos and his family were really helpful and always making sure that everything was ok.
We are already planning our next stay at that unique place.
