Having booked and stayed at the worst villa we have ever come across we were desperate to leave and find an alternate villa to save our family summer holiday. We were lucky to find Mark Davies and his Manor House villa and Mark bent over backwards and worked hard to enable us to move into his villa within 24 hours. We are very grateful to Mark for his kindness and hospitality and are delighted to report that he has a wonderful villa that offers everything we could possibiliy want for a successful summer holiday.
The drive is huge providing space for our 6 and 11 year old boys to play football without annoying their teenage sisters who preferred the pool area. The pool itself is large enough for the 10 of us to splash around in and is the right height for games of volleyball or for the children to safely dive into. It is heated and was constantly between 26 and 29°C. Around the pool there were enough chairs/sun loungers for sitting in the sun (or if you prefer the shade). A massive bonus were the outside toilets and shower which proved to be big pluses.
The villa is reasonably remote and is not surrounded or overlooked by other villas. This meant that we did not have to worry about the noise the six children made whilst they were playing in the pool. A big bonus for the parents!
Outside the house was a very large patio area which enabled all 10 of us to seat comfortably together for meals outside. At night the remote controlled lighting provided a nice outlook and the remoteness of the villa combined with the substantial fencing left us feeling secure and comfortable.
Inside the villa there was a seating area that allowed us all to sit around the large plasma TV and catch up on the latest that Sky had to offer. The WiFi allowed the children to keep up to date with Facebook and friends. This is actually useful as the sun is so strong in the summer that it makes sense to head inside and take a break.
The kitchen is long and wide with everything you need to cook for 10 and a breakfast bar large enough to eat together.
Elsewhere in the house there are 5 bedrooms, all on-suite with lovely power showers. The master bedroom is to die for and contains a queen size bed, views over the valley below and a hot tub. Whoever gets upstairs also benefits from a dressing room, a large washing/drying room and a wet room with twin showers and sinks.
Everything is completed to a very high standard and the villa was clean throughout. The owner Mark was very conscientious and could not do enough for us.
We certainly hope to return in 2011 and would heartily recommend this villa to anyone looking for a piece of Tenerife luxury and a large villa suitable for families to vacate together.
