Bedrock Village Caravan Park
Certificate of Excellence

This friendly place is all things to all travellers - groups, caravanners, campers. Lunch, dinner and breakfast all good. My general complaint about all the stops on this route Cairns to Karumba is the food - it would be great to feel you were eating "local", rather than teabags, imported lamb and little packets of jam and arnotts biscuits. Only one place had a local chutney served with their cold meats. Where is the Mareeba coffee, famous beef, mangoes and bananas. No excuse not to try at least.
Campfire and singsong good fun; very enterprising owners to have developed this place.

Room Tip: Cabins are very comfortable, quiet and clean

Thanks for taking the time to review us! Glad you enjoyed our campfire! We are in support of supporting local too. We do dish up a few local treats like our fresh coffee from the café is from Skybury in Mareeba, we fill our pepper shakers with a yummy peper from Silkwood, our lemons are used in all things lemony and we have mangoes applently in our mango cheesecake from local sources. We sell local chutneys and sauces in our gift shop and are always trying to get new stuff. We try and source Nerada tea where possible too.
Happy travels!

Bedrock village is a nice place to take a break from travelling while in the Gulf Region and the area has a lot to offer with the Savanahlander train stopping at Mt Surprise. A short trip to visit the Undara Lava Tubes.

My husband and I were recommended this caravan park from another traveler. On arrival it was evident that the owners take a lot of pride in their business. They should be commended on the grounds and amenities. The staff were all very welcoming. A great location

My husband and I booked our six night stay about a month ago. We arrived to a very warm welcome today, with prompt check-in, details about tours and options for our site. We went with what they had allocated - a gorgeous partly sunny partly shaded site with trees and shrubs providing privacy from other campers. The facilities here are above standard - they are so clean, the camp kitchen, laundry, pool and pizza/bbq area are amazing. There is a shop at the front stocked with bags, scarves, tea towels and many other items to purchase as keepsakes. The cafe has cakes and pastries to purchase at reasonable prices so we will do that later in the week. The good thing is it is located in the centre of town close to all other places like the local pub. Overall we are very happy and looking forward to our stay this week.

We have stayed here several times on our way up to the Gulf, and every time found the the Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The Park and it's amenities are immaculately kept. Staying at this Park, gives you the opportunity to take a trip on the Savanahlander rto Einsleigh along a very scenic railway line. Return trip is by the Park Coaster Bus along a back track, stopping along the way for billy tea and homemade goodies. This is an all round awesome trip and good value for money. The Park has an unique Gift Shop, Cafe with lots of homemade goodies. Meals are available.

Room Tip: Camping Sites are very spacious and private. The also have sites suitable for Big Rigs.
