Bar man was so helpful, a jolly relaxed man called Wayne. A boozer that's well recommended.

Food unfortunately is ready salted, cheese and onion and pork scratchings.

Landlady very warm and pleasant

Beer was very good

Full of regulars from the village and the odd party from the golf course

Thank Lee E

No atmosphere. The landlord was like a tramp, unshaven and drunk. ( His name was Stev I think ) The beer was terrible and the pub food was a joke. Avoid this place, it gives pubs a bad name. I have never felt so uncomfortable in my life.

A great New Year's Eve at the Bear Inn . A local pub with a good atmosphere and a cracking band - Beat2Beat band who played a good selection of music from the 60s to the 80s and got everyone on the dancefloor.
Well-organised with free admission, and the beer was very good too.

Horribly loud sports pub with dull uninteresting host. I actually left my beer it was so loud with only three people in the place, one of those was the barman,he had a hoody on and was playing the bandit, I couldn't believe how loud all those TVs were!!!

A rubbish attempt at a pub, who on Earth is it for, other than white van man, members of ukip and EDL?

I have been living in the village for a few years now and the Bear Inn was never the first choice for a beer and a chat but thats changed dramatically. Stefan and Julie the new landlord and landlady have transformed what was a bit of a grubby spot into what can be best described as an ale house par excellence. The pub has been completely clean out and no longer has the frankly biohazard toilets and grubby carpets of previous years, the bar areas are pristine, the beer fantastic and the service brilliant. THe intention is to start producing traditional pub fayre as well as a good events and beer list. They are already lining up for both Cask Mark and CAMRA listing and are happy to hear requests from the customers. Separate bars mean the younger crowd are catered for and the saloon bar is kept at a good sound level so it is possible to have a chat. Nice to see a pub going back to a pub and not a stuffy wine bar or a cliquey local spot. Well done and long may it continue.
