“beautuful place however not suitable for those with limited mobility”
Reviewed 1 October 2014 for a stay in September 2013

Steep lane up to villa which is not suitable for most vehicles therefore if any member if party has limited mobility then this villa would not be suitable. This steep pathway up to villa is stony and uneven. We found it impossible to drive up this path and had to carry everything up to villa. The pool whilst is lovely is unheated and chilly in September. Villa also had no blankets or duvets when we went last September and it was quite chilly at night. The views from villa are magnificent. The villa is adequarely furnished, but not what I would call luxurious. The lounge furniture is tired and the beds are rock hard. After being advised that we could take our dogs the owner came to say they were not allowed in villa so dont take yours unless you are prepared to leave them outside. Plus side, fantastic area and amazing views.

How easy was it to book the property? How helpful were the directions to the property?
How easy was key pickup/access to the property? Overall condition of the property
Bedding & mattresses Kitchen & utensils
Bathroom cleanliness Service
Liked best: The views of surrounding countryside
Liked least: The fact we could not park at front door and the rockhard beds,

Management Response

I am disappointed with your review of this villa. We have of course tried to deal with your complaints which were made shortly after your holiday even though none were made at the time which would have allowed us to help.
Everyone has opinions on vacation rentals, which we welcome, and I have had only good reviews of this beautiful house during the past 5 years, with several returners. However I do think your review would hold more validity if you pointed out that your vehicle was a 22 foot motorhome, which indeed was too big to take closer than 40 metres from the house.
In the same vein it has already been said to you that quilts and blankets were actually in the house, but unfortunately you did not see them or ask for help, yet you still say they were not there. You were also not asked to leave your dogs outside, but in your review choose to suggest that others would have to.
The owner was concerned was that you arrived with 1 more person than the capacity of the house, but we were happy to deal with this for you. If we had been made known about the other problems they would also have been dealt with, except the issue of your 22 foot vehicle, which you were able to park privately within 40 metres of the house.

The agency is small and has personalised contact with clients and owners. We would never recommend this house for people who had mobility difficulties, which people tend to tell us about when we have dialogue with them. We consider the house to be comfortable,in a beautiful, easily accessed and private location. The facilities and pool are of high quality. There are private grounds of some 50 hectares which can be explored. It's a private nature reserve with some traditional farmland and forest. The management of the house is with the experienced owners, and the agency is always able to help if required, including translation problems.
