“Beautiful cottage in an ideal location”
Reviewed 9 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Lovely, comfortable and well equipped country cottage in a beautiful woodland location, ideal for walking holidays with or without your four legged friend. Easy access to the lakes and with the weather on our side we managed a lot of miles amongst some beautiful scenery. Would definitly return.

“Lovely location”

The cottage is beautifully decorated and in a very peaceful location. All very comfortable.
We were there with our dog and there were good local walks from the door. It was also not too far from attractions such as the Wolfhouse gallery (and cafe) in Silverdale and Arnside Knot. Getting to the south Lakes was also straightforward.
Dogs are not allowed upstairs and there is not a door at the bottom of the stairs so you might need to consider than if bringing a dog. We found a chair did the job. Would definitely stay there again.

Many thanks for taking the time to review, it's great to hear that you enjoyed your time at Rock Cottage and exploring the beautiful area. That's a useful point re the stairs - we're onto a gate or other solution. I hope we can welcome you back to Rock Cottage and we'll ensure you don't need to use chair to block the stairs next time.

“Great little cottage”
Reviewed 18 October 2014 for a stay in October 2014

My wife, two children and I stayed in rock cottage for five nights. It is in an ideal location with all amenities within a modest walk or five minute drive. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you would need for a great stay. Couldn't find any faults at all and had a lovely stay. If anyone has a bad comment to make about this property then they are being to fussy, will book again.

“Beautifully renovated dog friendly cottage”
Reviewed 19 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

In a Lovely peaceful location. The cottage is a lovelingly renovated spacious cottage with a fab arga cooker. Local shops and pubs are very close (prob 2/3 mins in a car) and places like Kendal etc are easily accessible. this cottage is ideally located for visiting a number of Cumbria/Lake District areas and it's a real bonus that it's dog friendly.
