We stayed in Torcigliano June 2016; this trattoria, run by the lovely Antonio and Sabrina, was recommended to us by the gentleman we'd rented a house from and he wasn't wrong - the food was amazing!! Very, very reasonably priced, fantastic quality (you have to try the homemade tordelli with wild boar sauce), plentiful and super tasty - you can't go wrong! We ate there four of the seven nights we stayed in the village and can't wait to go back - even if we don't stay in the village itself, we'll definitely be making the trip up the hill! Local chianti (not bad at all) was only one euro a glass... Desserts were also excellent, particularly the 'chocolate cake' as Antonio called it - turned out to be a chocolate melting pudding which was delish!
They serve a local bread - freshly baked and brought free to the table - which is almost like a very thin, wholemeal pitta, all puffed up in the middle. It's worth visiting for that alone... ;-)
