“gorgeous relaxing holiday”

This was one of the most beautiful and well-equipped places I have ever stayed in. The views from the terrace were stunning, at any time of day but even more so at sunset or even just before when the evening sun outlined the hills with shadow, or in the morning with mysterious mists rising from the valleys. The wild flowers everywhere were incredibly beautiful.

The information provided was useful and the recommended bar that was half an hour's
lovely walk away in Valor was amazing - massive tapas with drinks - they'd be raciones anywhere else.We also walked to Yegen and were given a great lunch by an Irish woman marreid to a Spaniard - with veg from their farm.

There were plenty of places for short, fairly level walks and also for longer treks along the GR7.

We want to go again before long.

Liked best: The location - high up on the side of a hill with views across the vallys.
Liked least: The last bit of the drive up to the property - though we got used to it after a few goes.

“CUESTA VINAS HAS STOLEN OUR HEARTS”

We have now stayed at Cuesta Vinas three times and quite simply it has stolen our hearts.
We never tire of the stunning views that you get from the lovely terrace, the pool area is amazing WOW it is also a good sized pool too.
The owners Ginny & Terry are two fantastic people they could not be more welcoming and friendly, we enjoyed a fantastic night with them and their neibours having a barbque and drinks thanks for the great food and hospitality.
They have two beautifull dogs Lottie and Josh you will find them very friendly, It helps when you are missing your own pets.
The house is a good size and has everthing you need for a nice comfortable holiday.
The whole area of Valor is very nice decent tapas bars in the village and a couple of well stocked shops. There are larger shops in nearby Ugijar not to far away.
Also recommended is adrive around the many nearby white villages, not touristy and spoilt like many places in spain.
The thing we loved most was to just sit on the terrace at night with a bottle or two of wine and never cease to be wowed by the beautiful stars in the night sky.
Thanks Ginny and Terry for all your hard work and sweat in creating this beautiful piece of paradise.
Frank & Brenda Middleton.

A great place to stay...was happily surprised on arrival. Fantastic views, private courtyard and small pool. Beautiful scenery. Quiet and peaceful, it is not for the party goer, but if you love a bit of relaxation, hiking, and exploring its a great place to say. The hosts were so lovely, even inviting us to a dinner party one night. A lovey and different mini break. Thanks Terry and Ginny.

“Lovely finca, amazing views, perfectly peaceful”

We had a lovely time at Cuesta Vinas. Ginny and Terry are very welcoming and made us feel completely at ease. The garden and private pool are delightful and the views of the Sierra Nevada are stunning. We made the most of the local stores and markets and managed to use both the BBQ and the clay oven - only burning one Pizza (a human error rather than an oven malfunction). We were particularly delighted with the gentle sound of morning goat bells from across the hills.
We had the most peaceful holiday ever and will certainly be returning.

“A magical, truly authentic stay in the heart of the Alpujarras!”

We spent a few memorable weeks in the lovely Casita in Cuesta Vinas ....a small Alpujarran village close to the white-washed, picture-postcard town of Valor. The pet friendly casita was fully equipped with everything necessary for a thoroughly enjoyable and comfortable stay and the hosts Terry and Ginny, along with their delightful dogs, were extremely welcoming. The expansive Casita gardens were an absolute delight and the views from the house utterly breathtaking. We hope to visit again soon!
