This is my 5th stay at The Mustard Tree and I hope to have many more. A beautiful guesthouse; perfectly situated to explore the Carbis Bay area, and ideal for walking into St Ives either along the road or the coastal path. It is also situated on the bus route and the railway station is only a few minutes walk away. It is a very clean, comfortable and homely guesthouse. John and Anne are lovely hosts and John does a cracking cooked breakfast to set you up for the day. I would highly recommend.

First of all...ignore the 3 silly reviews. This B&B is perfect. Anne and John are absolutely brilliant. If you did have a question about your room they are very approachable. We didn't have one problem whilst we were there. You are free to go and come as you please. The breakfast....WOW soooo tasty. And lots of choice. Literally 15 min wall to the beach. 20 min walk to st Ives centre. The beds were comfortable, hot water all the time. You even had snacks in the mini fridge which you can purchase for a cheap price. Nice garden to have some drinks in.
Would 1 million percent return to the mustard tree.

Thank you Anne and John for being great hosts.

Lovely B and B convenient for St Ives. Ann and John make you feel so welcome, the rooms are lovely as is the breakfast and nothing is too much trouble. We walked into St Ives along the costal path one evening which was lovely and caught the train for £1 each the following evening. The return trip is only £6 in a taxi. Unfortunately one of the days we were there it poured with rain but the room was lovely to retreat to when we needed too. Thankyou Ann for recommending the beach at Bude for our onward trip. We even went in the sea !

We stayed as a large family group for a couple of nights as we attended a wedding at the Carbis Bay hotel.

We had 5 different rooms all of which were fab - very clean and comfortable. Our favourite room would have to be the "triple" which could accommodate 2 small children in addition to 2 adults as it had a lovely see view.

Location is brilliant - we could walk to Carbis Bay (although I wouldn't recommend the walk back due to steep hill). There was a Tesco near by for the things we had forgotten and we got the scenic train to st Ives one day although apparently you can walk to st Ives (we had young children so decided to take the train)

We were really welcomed by Ann during our stay and it felt like home. We spent one eve in their lounge watching TV with a takeaway (cutlery and plates were provided) whilst our little one was asleep upstairs.

Best English breakfast with good quality sausages/bacon. Fresh fruit also available.

Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a home from home B&B

We were made to feel at home as soon as we walked through the door as Anne welcomed us with a much needed drink after a long journey. Anne and john were great hosts and were always willing to give advice on the local area which was really helpful as we had not stayed in this area before. the breakfast was delicious and the rooms were clean and comfortable, ours even had a sea view. The Mustard tree is just a short walk to the beach (although the road is rather steep) Overall this is an excellent place to stay and we would not hesitate to recommend to our friends and family

Room Tip: The Badger inn and the Cornish arms are great for meals and are nearby

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. It was lovely to meet you. That hill is a bit steep isn't it, but then again the beach is so beautiful that you have to stop several times on the way up to admire the view!! Thank you for your kind review. We'll hope to see you again sometime.
