Wonderful day out. Pay for parking & entry is free.
Paths are well kept and exciting for children.
Great for picnics & bbq or lots of good places to eat

Really good well kept paths to walk on. A variety if walks, we dud 8 miles abd cafes spread along the route which are not too expansive. Lovely scenery

Popped by to have a walk around the abbey ruins.
Very fascinating to see the architecture that's still visible.
I would certainly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

This place will always be beautiful and I will still visit and recommend it but a couple of things irk me. Firstly, the regular price hikes and the amount they go up is getting a bit much. £10 is an expensive walk for a couple! And secondly, a few years ago they decided to take away pretty much all of the picnic benches. The only reason I can think of why they would do this is to 'encourage' us into their (rather expensive) restaurant. These two things give me the impression that who ever owns the estate are becoming greedy, which is a shame as it means we do not visit more than once or twice a year now. But, as I said,it is gorgeous and we will still visit, just not as much!

An instantly famous and recognisable landmark.

The ruins stand magnificently attached to the church. Breathtaking and atmospheric set in stunning scenery.

Nice walks and a great activity to visit any time of the year.
