Our first night in Tenerife and we had been travelling all day so we needed good food fast. Our accommodation owner highly recommended this restaurant but warned us not to try and get in on a Sunday - later we found he was right, it was packed, people come from all over!
That Friday night it is was dead, though we were there very early and it was only getting busy when we were leaving. The staff were very friendly and though I don't think they spoke much English they did have their menu in English and German as well as Spanish.
Going again on recommendation we had warm garlic bread and warm chorizo paste bread - they were so delicious. We followed this with half a chicken each which had been cooked in a wood burning oven; it was slightly charred, smelled amazing and was so tasty, it was accompanied with chips.
I had water with my meal, my husband had two beers and we ended it all with a coffee each. It only cost 20 Euros.
For excellent simple food done right in a homely (though mixed and dated) atmosphere with many people coming in to use the bar and laugh together - you can not go wrong.
(Closes early on Thursdays)
