Typical food from Abruzzo, mostly based on meat and cheese even though there might be some veggie options. Large selection of courses. I would advise the polenta as main and the genziana liquor as digestive. Good wines too. Worth to go, especially after skiing.

Best meal of the holiday - homemade tagliatelle and porcini mushrooms. Followed by grilled lamb and greens. Family run and a full house at lunch time.

La Vecchia Pesa is a restraunt owned by a beautiful authentic Italian family! They treat the food with love and respect it deserves and most certainly cooked from the heart! I would recommend it to anyone who is in the area as it will be worth your time! Incredible food and service my favourite restraunt in italy so far!

I had got the information that it was a place where to eat good meat, and I went there. The place is located close to a pump station, in a valley between the mountains. Almost in the middle of nowhere. The atmosphere is simple and essential. We eat pasta, meat, vegetables and fruit. The Caserecci con salsiccia where tasty: the taste of home made things. The pappardelle alla panna , funghi e prosciutto were a little bit salty. The bistecca di vitello was a nice piece of good quality. The agnello arrosto also tasty, but the portion could have been little bigger. The cicorie where tasty. The house wine, Montepulciano d' Abruzzo, was good and for very good price.
They service was very good and attentive. I think that, considering the place, the prices where the just prices. However, I think that the "pane e coperto" of 2.5 euros/ person should be revised, because it is too high and it may easily impact in the measure of 10% or more on the final price of the dinner. In conclusion, it was good but did not impress me.
