Finding such a superb meal in a formerly unknown corner of Italy (for us) was a true delight! This was one of the two best meals we had in 15 days in Italy, and was considerably better than some that were much more reputed and expensive. Our waiter was gracious, had a terrific sense of humor and joie de vivre, and recommended excellent choices of local wine and food. He even gave us a wrapped up bag of food to take with us for snacks. The appetizers of fresh sardines and a potato cake in a light cheese sauce were terrific, and the pasta (they even offered fresh gluten free pasta for my celiac disease!) was divine. The ravioli my husband had was exceptional. But the star of the evening was the pork in a fruit purée, flavors you'd never have thought to put together, but a dish that melted in the mouth. Everything focuses on fresh local ingredients. This was a restaurant well worth a detour!
