You will only see a temple Nothing else to watch or visit. But during the time of June (Bengali Ashar month) a huge Mela is organised near the temple, which lasts for 7 days. I personally would recommend you to visit it during that time.
14 goddess temple is is one of the tourist and religious place in Tripura. Every year in the month of Ashar / July seven days grand festival takes place, then all 14 goddess are taken out for public visit.
In this temple, fourteen Gods and Goddessess, together called the Chaturdasha Devata, are worshiped (these deities are ceremoniously worshiped during Kharchi Puja). It is the religious centre of aboriginal tribes of Tripura ( having Kokborok language). A good place to observe ethnic and tradtional/cultural diversity.
Since it fell on our way we went there .Its small temple nothing new about it just another temple in India with 14 Devi's under one roof for Darshan. Can easily be missed from visit.
As the name suggests, there are 14 different gods and goddesses - Shiva, Durga, Vishnu, Ganesh, Kartik, Laxmi, Saraswati, Agni, Brahma, Ganga etc and all of them are worshiped. The building housing the gods has a weird umbrella/canopy shape. The idols here are hundreds of years old. There were the house gods of the Tripura royal family who relocated these here for safekeeping.
The temple lies a few kms out of town so its best to get a car or auto to go there.
a little far away from agartala, this holy place is a must visit for each traveler who intends to visit northeast Tripura
