“Chicken Jalfrezi!”
Reviewed 11 February 2012

Ok let's be honest HBM, as the neon sign calls it, will never win most glamorous awards in many categories, owever if you are looking for good sized rooms, pleasant location, space for the kids to roam around and friendly service this is a good option.
The rooms are a little dated but spacious and clean and although not well equipped a quick call to reception will bring all you need. The pool is a good size and the beach, whilst not of the quality of the major resort hotels is adequate.
Where the HBM made its mark was in the Indian restaurant. If like me you find it difficult to find good hot and spicy foods in most hotels, you will love the great service, good value and extremely tasty food on offer.
So if the big 5 stars down the road are full this is a pretty good option.
There is a nightclub on site (Asian?) but it didn't cause any disturbance, and there is. A dive operation running here, but I didn't check it out.

Stayed at the end of December for one night with friends and family. We took two chalets overlooking the sea.
The rooms are average, little bit 'old' and need a refurbishment. There is a kitchen but without any accessories.

We asked for a barbecue grill (to be paid extra - 100dhs - you cannot bring yours) and got just charcoil and very few bbq accessories: had to run to nearest supermarket to purchase BBQ 'lighting petrol'. Fish bought in the town of Dibba (10 min by car) was very fresh. In case you want to do the same bring your own bbq equipment.

The beach is nice and enjoyable.

There is a night club in the community area: the very loud music went on till early hours really disturbing us (it was Thursday night).

The cost is lower than the other hotels in the area.

Room Tip: first chalets (304-305) are very close to the night club and the music will surely disturb you.

The perfect getaway for you and your family. Visited it during Eid. Had a blast. The children had ample mediums to expend their energies leaving the grown-ups to relax. The motel has chalets facing the sea and offering an amazing view of the Dibba Rock (a rocky outcrop in the middle of the sea). You can go for a swim either in the swimming pool (we stayed away) or for a dip in the Indian Ocean. The coastline has been declared a Marine reserve so keep a watch for the endangered turtles bobbing their heads close to the shore. Kids love it.

The hotel also had snorkelling and SCUBA diving activities. We went snorkelling in the vicinity of the Dibba Rock. The corals were abundant in beautiful fishes. Be sure to educate yourself on marine life - the beautiful ones and the harmful types - prior to snorkelling.

The food was decent in the restaurant. The motel provides BBQ stuff but remember to take some charcoal and liquid. The motel provides you with jell that does not help anyway.

Do visit if complete unwinding is what you are looking for.

Enjoy.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom chalets opposite the sea are amazing. Do not take the ones close to the pub. Noisy as...

While driving around UAE i sometimes slept in places that I had not previously organized. It is the case of Holiday Beach Motel. Facilities are nice, good suites and swimming pool. Staff are very helpful.

Between al Aqah 5 star area and Dibba bay, and positioned next to JAL hotel, this is a chalet/apartment style beachside resort with onsite restaurant and pool. The chalets are studio or 2 bed. We stayed in the 1 bed unit which had a sitting room, kitchenette, dressing area, bathroom and bedroom (large double). An extra bed was placed in the sitting room which still gave adequate room for 4 people to move around. Bathroom was basic (and remember to switch on immersion for hot water) but adequate. Kitchenette had fridge, sink and cupboards but no hob/cooker - it was possible to arrange to have a BBQ grill outside. Beach is a mix of white sand area and rocky (rock, coral, shell mix) outcrop so is good for paddling, bathing and snorkelling. Saw fish, sea urchins, rays, crabs, turtles, dolphins, shells. Aquashoes strongly recommended. There are sunbeds with shades, a promenade type wall, and shower facilities beachside as well as a kayak/snorkelling/diving/boat trip tour outfit operating from pier at end of beach. Pool area is clean with sunbeds and there is a small kids playground with metal equipment next to it. Garden areas are well kept. Restaurant offers good quality mixed local/international meals, cheap drinks (for the UAE, but cant remember if alcohol was offered) and a filling breakfast. Room service is exactly the same menu with no extra charge. There was an internet room next to the restaurant. Car parking is outside your room (motel!)
Liked this hotel for its low key friendly ambience - you can take a family here, spread out, amble down to the beach/pool and back without worrying about how you look, snorkel/ beachcomb and then come back to your room and get very efficient room service if you dont feel like making an effort for dinner. The chalet style makes it feel quite private and not crowded. Such a good price compared to the rest of UAE for drinks, meals, accommodation. If you can, book the 2 bedroom chalets which are right next to the beach.
