The staff is great in all aspects. The breakfast is one of the best I have encountered. It is on the edge of the town but easy access to both the port and the center. An extremely nice beach and beach bar. I couldn't recommend this property more.

We had booked into a studio apartment in Kalyves which we didn't much care for, nor Kalyves for that matter and had noticed the Aphrodite while searching on the web for alternative accommodation. As we were planning to visit Balos Bay anyway we stopped off at the Aphrodite to check it out. We were immediately sold on the location, right on the beach, and we were offered a room (312) which looked overlooked the beach. Also, Kissamos is better located for travelling to the places in Western Crete that we wanted to visit: Elafonissi, Balos Bay, Falasarna, Polyrinia, Paleochora than Kalyves or the Chania area. So we cancelled our plan to continue on to Balos Bay and instead booked Room 312 and returned to Kalyves to pack up and check out of the studio. Although we'd paid for a week at Kalyves the move to the Aphrodite was more than fully merited as we had a really nice stay at the hotel. It's a family run hotel and the owners are delightful, extremely helpful and charming, nothing is too much trouble for them. It turned out that the shower in our bathroom had quite a severe leak and as it was Easter weekend no plumbers were available, so the owner went out and bought a new shower unit, tap and handset, and fixed it himself. Another advantage is that next door to the rear of the hotel is a very good and reasonable restaurant Stelios & Kantina where we ate every night. We stayed at the Aphrodite for six nights and were genuinely sad to leave.

Room Tip: 212 and 312 for the best views, also the most expensive.

We stayed here for one night off season. The man at reception was lovely and also gave us a complimentary coffee.
The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and good self catering facilities. Awesome water pressure in the shower!
The buffet breakfast is fantastic, and we'll worth including in your stay.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Recommended.

Very clean and big rooms. With kitchen, safe, tv, sofa and good-view balcony! (And we stay in cheap room) . The stuff is great ! And most important - the beach is the most good beach in this small bay! Less windy compare another places.

We spent some days at Aphrodite beach hotel in October, we couldn't be more satisfied and happy...the location is so clean and warm that you can just feel comfortable and relax. For me was love at first sight, I appreciate all the staff efforts to make averything perfect and easy for customers...
I had some healthy complication due to pregnancy and lady Aphrodite was so so nice and emphatic with me...she managed to find a professional fysioterapic help in quick time. I'll never forget her kindness...grazie mille Signora Aphrodite!!!
We looking forward to next October to come back with our baby.
Buona fortuna.
Silvia

Room Tip: Sea view is so romantic
