We stopped in Linnane's Pub in Kilfenora, County Clare, on our way back from our trip to the Cliffs of Moher and the Burren. We got there a little on the early side in the evening, so it was quiet and not busy. The owner was very pleasant and friendly and possessed a quick wit and good sense of humor. Behind the bar he has a sign posted that reads: "Many have eaten here. Few have died." Well, I can testify that you probably won't die there, but you certainly will enjoy the food, the drink, the hospitality, and the warm fireplace. We had the Irish stew (lamb in this case), Guinness, and trifle with cream for dessert. Superb!
