“Team & Family weekend away”
Reviewed 12 March 2018 for a stay in February 2018

We had a wonderful weekend. The property is very comfortable and done to a very high standard and perfect for a large group. The surrounding countryside is beautiful and the location very peaceful. The kids had fun at nearby Chirk castle. Nothing negative at all.

Management Response
22 Aug 2017
Hi Chloe, Thank you for reviewing us! We're delighted you all enjoyed your stay and would like to offer you an additional night for free on your next booking (minimum nights booking rules will still apply) as our way of saying thank you. We value useful feedback and as such the games room will now be receiving some upgrades in its toy selection! Best wishes Mark

“Wales break”
Reviewed 19 May 2016 for a stay in August 2015

This was my first stay at a rental property. I searched long and hard to find a suitable place to stay for a long weekend as my extended family can be a little demanding. I have to say the place is absolutely fantastic and didn't disappoint. The owner (Mark) was brilliant throughout the whole process and very accommodating. The housekeepers were friendly and made sure everything was to our liking and were always a phone call away.

The place is a little difficult to locate and Ian made sure we got there by pointing out landscapes and signs to lookout for. The hall itself was excellent and had a vintage feel to it. All the rooms were adequate for our needs as there were some of us with infants. The kitchen was spacious and there is a separate dining room. I quite liked the living room as it had two parts to it - those that wanted to watch movies and those that just wanted to sit, chat and enjoy the ambiance. I liked the fact that the garden is big and has a pond. Good size for a barbecue and for kids to play. The hall has an adequate game room with board games and pool table.

There are lots of activities in and around the area (lots of antique and vintage bargains). I would suggest that the shopping is done in wrexham as there is more choice. You can hire Canal boats and have lunch or visit the aqueducts.

I would suggest for an upgrade for the games room and also have facilities for badminton or tennis as the garden area is big enough.

I would only recommend to go to New Hall if you want to unwind and relax otherwise it may not be for you. I have given an excellent rating due to the fact the Mark handled all our needs exceptionally well. This was indeed an excellent introduction to holiday rentals.
