We stayed one week here in Dec 2014. Apart from Ki Niseko hotel, Gondola is the nearest to the gondola. 100m.

Go Snow school is next to the gondola station.

Ski rental at the mountain centre lets you store gear overnight so you don't have to carry equipment back to chalet.

What I liked about Gondola chalet:
1) nearest distance (100m) to Hirafu gondola and English speaking Go Snow ski school. The Hirafu mountain centre is where shuttle plies the different Niseko towns.
2) well quipped apartment with mini kitchen, entrance drying room, laundry, double height ceiling in living. Great powerful free wifi.
3) 10 mins walk to the centre of Hirafu where all the restaurants and shops are.

Dislikes: (not much to dislike)
1) no cafe, restaurant or concierge. Have to do it thru Landmark View next door.
2) it's 2.5 storeys with a narrow staircase so may not be convenient for elderly or very young kids.
3) shuttle service only to the welcome centre. Not to town. (But it's only 10 min walk)

Stayed: December 2014

Stayed nine days at the GONDOLA CHALETS - 4 bedroom apartment. has all the facilities required including small dishwasher, drier, washing machine. It is a 5 minute walk up the hill to the Gondola - not really ski in ski out.
Good service from reception who organised a mini bus for us.

Myself with a group of 6 other friends decided to stay here for 8 nights and we were really surprised by the quality of the accommodation, the chalet was like a small house. Everything was provided and there was also housekeeping which came every few day's to do cleaning.

In terms of location I don't think you could get much better. We were all beginners doing snowboarding and as you can see from the already provided pictures the slopes are only a couple of mins away.

Also being a group of relatively young people there were some concerns of whether the chalet had internet, which when we arrived were answered with a 100 Mbps free internet connection. There was wireless and also the option for a cable connection with the provided Ethernet cable.

In terms of booking we had this booked about 7-8 months in advance which also came with a discount (through travel agent) so I would recommend getting in early if you are going to consider these.

Great apartment, great location, great powder! The Gondola Chalets exceeded our expectations as a great place to stay while skiing in Niseko. The Grand Hirafu Gondola is right next door (5 minute walk) and the Hanazono shuttle stops right outside the complex. The interior is modern, spacious, and perfect for a family. My only complaint is the that after a long day of skiing, I was longing for a western (meaning softer) bed instead of the typical Japanese style. Hardly a major complaint and we will return.

Room Tip: Ask for a mountain view if you want to see the beautiful scenery in the AM with your cup of coffee.

Second time staying at Gondola Chalets for skiing. The chalets are to a very high standard and spacious. Location is key, as 2min walk from door to Hirafu gondola. Bus stop on door stop, but can easily walk to shops, bars, restaurants. Ask for a ski slop view chalet as the views are spectacular, these get booked fast so be quick!. Our second time there all slop facing chalets were booked but still had beautiful views. Had a sick child for a couple of days so stayed in the chalet. it wasn't too bad as the views were fab. Chalet is perfect for a couple of families staying together as we did. Rooms are large, light and clean. Also a great separate laundry area and huge drying room for all the ski gear gear.
Tips: 1. Ask for a chalet facing the slopes.
2. Take DVD's / iPads, etc to entertain kids if sick and have to stay in!

Overall first class holiday. 5*

Room Tip: Chalet facing the slopes are the best.
