Even though it is hard to get there by public transport (there is a bus, but be sure to check the timetable before you go there!) I would really recommend going there. Apart from the prime location (situated between Mount Errigal and a big Lake) the rooms, bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and the staff was kind and helpful. If you want to go in hikes in Ireland, this will be the place for you. There is a petrol station with a surprisingly good equipped little supermarket in it, if you need to get food supplies. Would highly recommend staying there!

Love this place, fabulous location on the foot of Errigal, staff more than willing to help with hiking and weather information. Lovely hot showers, free breakfast, wonderful views, hoping to be back soon!

Great location and great, friendly and helpful personell. Hot water when you need it most :) good drying room, huge kitchen...

Some good luck with weather recommended but hey, you're in Ireland.

Great base for some unforgettable hikes.

The location is hard to beat, right under Donegal's highest mountain, Mount Errigal. The hostel is super clean and the staff simply could not have been more welcoming. Plenty of space inside the hostel, really warm and cozy and the view!!! I got so much help from Erin about what to see around the area, she even went to the trouble of sitting down with me with a map, got me the numbers for the next hostel I was staying in as well as the information for sailing trips to Tory island...which I also got to stay on! All in all a place I would highly recommend to solo travellers or to groups. This place is fantastic!

Room Tip: My room face the magnificent Mount Errigal but honestly, if you're lucky enough to stay here, any room would meet the mark!

Climb up the mountain was spectacular, if you do not have transport it is a 3km walk to base of mountain carpark where track starts. Hostel has fantastic kitchen facilities, wonderful dining room with great views, breakfast is included in price!
