Great location in Immenstaad. Slightly up the hill for a great view of the lake and town.

Great breakfast with eggs: sunny-side up and scrambled. Scrambled eggs have no fillers or thinners, so they taste great.
Great quality bacon and fully cooked. Also had sausages. Then the typical German breakfast stuff.
Many things to add to yogurt, including fresh and dried fruits.
Their best is their homemade jams. I think they have at least 15 different kinds to try. Lots of different types of bread to go with it.

Afterwards, make sure to buy some of their homemade alcohol: pear and mirabellan brandy, apple liquor, and their 10T30 oil can looking nut liquor. Any of their homemade liquors are far better than anything from any store.

If you want something to drink after breakfast, help yourself in the same area. They have an honor system to add to a card for your room. At only 1 Euro per latte or tea, it's a bargain.

Only drawbacks:
- Bed: Memory foam, but a very hard/rigid one.
- Small TV with only 2 or 3 German channels.
- Tiny shower area next to the toilet.

Stayed here for five nights in room 118 which is classed as a studio consisting of a sitting area with the bedroom on an upper floor. This room has a double bed with a bunk bed discreetly separated by a wall. First impressions were not good as one of the bedside lights on the head board was hanging off and the bedding although clean had been darned. The original lamp was tucked behind the headboard and replaced with a grubby table lamp which took all of the small bedside table. The downstairs area was equipped with a small fridge (not minibar, drinks were always available at a small bar in the dining room with an honesty book) and basket chairs which were not particularly comfortable to sit in for any length of time. There was also a balcony with a table and chairs overlooking the lake but if the wind was in the wrong direction this got cigarette smoke from people smoking on other balconies. The en suite was small with the shower in a wet room style and close to the toilet which left the floor wet for use of the toilet if the shower had been used. The shower head was a bit grubby and unappealing. However the rest of the hotel was perfectly clean. The breakfast was superb with a very varied range of items available. The only thing not available was toast but this is not normally at most places in Germany anyway. A limited number of tables are available for breakfast on the terrace weather permitting. Free tea and coffee was constantly available on the first floor landing sitting area. We were not informed at the time of booking that there was a building site next to the hotel which created noise from early morning throughout the day.

Spent one night at this place last summer. We were looking for a place and were lucky enough to spot it. Our room was on the main floor of the Gästehaus. It was very roomy and nicely finished. We also had a little patio. The staff (owners?) was great and helpful. Breakfast was top notch (note the many varieties of home-made jams). Nicely located, a short walk from the middle of the town and the lake. Would definitely recommend this place.
