came here for Sunday lunch after a walk around Styal Woods. Food here is normally great but they were excellent on Sunday with their Roast Beef and the yummiest and largest Yorkshire Pudding you will see on a plate. All the side were cooked really well and it won't be long till we are back for more Sunday Roast :D

After a long walk through Styal Woods, we decided to have lunch at the Ship Inn, we didn't reserve a table but there was plenty of tables outside and it was a glorious spring day. The heater outside added to the little warmth needed. We ordered the beef roast, it was gorgeous. The roast potatoes were the best I've ever had and we had a further two lots of potatoes on the plate. The beef was cooked to perfection and the Yorkshire puddings were huge. Staff were really helpful and were quick to serve when at the bar. Can't wait for the next meal here, firm favourite.

Ok good points and bad.... the bad has to be the car park , it is big enough but it has bigger craters then your find on the moon so park on the road . And the reason for my title is you can only book a table for 6 or more so if it's just the 2 or 4 0f you you're have to hope you can find a table. But that's it and so to the good points . The food is excellent and Very competitive with other local pubs and restaurants with the difference being its not mass produced heat up in a microwave stuff . I would recommend the spare ribs or steak and ale pie but everyone seemed happy with there meals . Drinks are a little expensive but that's proberly more to do with the brewery ... Oh a shout out to a guy called Liam who was very friendly and helpful . Will I go back.... Definitely.

Arrived at 2.30 on a Friday afternoon. My two friends had hot mezze which was delicious and I had the chicken liver parfait with sour dough bread which was also very good. All had desserts which were brilliant too. A great way to spend an afternoon following a long walk round the Styal area. Would definitely return in future

Straight forward but quality pub food, however, it's the service that is most impressive, attentive and courteous! Probably some of the best customer service I've ever had!

The place is also homely and welcoming...thoroughly recommend it! (That's without being bias as I'm a local lad).
