We booked Orchard Cottage for a weekend break in February 2013. The cottage is in a wonderful location, about 7 miles north of Brighton, in the grounds of a moated country house called Newtimber Place.
The cottage was comfortably furnished and provided plenty of living space for my wife and I and our three children aged 1, 2 and 4. The master bedroom is very generously sized, with a large en-suite and the other 2 bedrooms are also very good sizes. The kitchen was very well equipped, with plenty of crockery, glasses and untensils as well as excellent appliances which all aided in making our stay very comfortable. The central heating was excellent - and much needed over a particularly cold weekend!
We enjoyed looking around the grounds of Newtimber place, walking in the woodlands, beside the stream, and we were all excited to see a fox running about in the cottage's garden.
The cottage is close enough to Brighton to make visiting the city very easy, but secluded and remote enough to feel very relaxing, quiet and calm.
We would highly recommend Orchard Cottage and look forward to visiting again in the future!More
