We stayed here for two nights and were impressed with both the food and the onsen bath facilities. We had a very relaxing stay, padding around in yukata and spending way too long in the bath.
In between bath visits we were served dinner and breakfast in a private tatami room by attentive and friendly staff. Both nights, after dinner, we came back to the room to find our futons had been made up for us and the table and chairs squared away.
The building and the rooms are very dated, and feel like they’re from a bygone age, but everything was spotlessly clean. The staff (also of a certain vintage!) don’t speak much English, if any, but during or stay they were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
One thing to be aware of is that, due to it being stuck in the past, smoking is still allowed throughout the building. The corridor we were on was particularly smoky, but the room was fine.
My fiancée and I paid 18,000 yen each for two nights with dinner and breakfast.More
