My husband and I decided to check out the Ski Valley, even though it was not ski season. Thankfully the Stray Dog was open, because it was lunchtime and we were hungry! I had tortilla soup and my husband had Frito pie. Both were delicious! We'd love to come back and check out the cute little boutiques and hotels in the little community there.

We had such great service here for our family of four. They serve the most brisket I have ever seen on one taco plate! It was so delicious. The tortilla soup, combo plate, bloody maria, and coco loco drinks were superb! Great dinner.

Had a really good time here while staying in Taos. Very family friendly- we had 3 kids age 8, 15, and 17 and a group of 9 people total and had no problem getting 2 tables pushed together . They don't take reservations so we were concerned, but all worked out great. It is Kind of a bar- like atmosphere - very casual . It was not crowded at the time, although signs said at busy times, expect longer waits for your food. They have a good mix of Mexican entrees like burritos and enchiladas. Also the local favorite "frito pie" which we had and was yummy and filling . The mahi mahi fish tacos were also great as was the brisket burrito. The red sauce was super spicy . I got the "Christmas " presentation with both red and green sauce. Very good. They had burgers and grilled cheese for the non- Mexican enthusiasts and they were enjoyed. Prices were reasonable but margaritas were expensive ($11 each). But they were among the best margaritas we've had! We may go again we liked it so much !
