“great stay, great room, nice hot tub, nice people”
Reviewed 12 February 2011

Stayed there during a ski trip in late Jan/ early Feb. Paul and Suzie (the owners) were great at making us feel comfortable. Room 135 (King) was really of a good size and excellent with nice views, microwave, coffee maker. We were blessed with a lot of fresh snow during our stay and Paul did not waste time to clear the driveway si we could get in and out easily! When the weather dipped below 0 degrees F and the heater had difficulty coping, he brought in a supplementary electric heater.
Free wifi internet in the room allowed us to connect our iPad to get the latest email, weather updates and restaurant location (don't miss the crossroads pizza place at the village !)
We used the hot tub nearly everyday during our 4 night stay to soak in while watching the snow fall. Well maintained. But yes, if is state regulated for 4 persons and the owner is right not to allow more (other wise would risk spa license). All in all a good stay.

We were hounded like animals, and their customer services is AWFUL!
As if they didn't want customers. They trick you with photos to think they have 2 hot tubs but they only have one and they close it on sat nights because they don't want people to use it that night. they don't allow more than 4 people in the entire Spa area. You cant even sit around it.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay. We take all feedback seriously, especially when it involves our customer service. We pride ourselves on providing a high level of customer service, but guest safety and comfort are also a very important aspect of our business. As discussed during your stay, in order to insure a safe experience in our hot tub, we enforce the state regulations pertaining to our hot tub. One regulation pertaining to our hot tub is a maximum of 4 people to insure proper chemical balance and filtration. We apologize for having to close the hot tub for a short period of time on the Saturday night during your stay, but it was closed until the chemicals were in balance and your safety was insured. We also apologize for any confusion regarding two hot tubs. We have always had one hot tub and if there is any marketing material that states otherwise, please feel free to contact us and we will change it immediately. Thank you again for your feedback.

We recently stayed at the Inn for a ski trip with our family. The loft room ws perfect for the kids and the size of the inn is nice - not too big and not too small. The location was awesome and the shuttle to the mountain was super convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was a nice break at the end of a long ski day. Only down issues were no ESPN on the TV and the room temp was too warm at times. Overall this place is an excellent value for the money and if you have kids, the breakfast is a greaqt way to start each morning. I would reccomend this place highly and if we go skiing in Taos again, we would stay here again!

Me and my family stayed here for two nights over the Labor Day weekend and enjoyed our stay other than the breakfast that was offered.
Good points:
Location! A beautiful area with tons of outdoor activities
Rooms, quaint small rooms, but clean and fun for bigger kids with the loft that's only accessible by ladder.
Rates, I appreciate that they offer a rate for military

Not so good point: The breakfast. Based on the website which trumped up the breakfast as a delicious buffet with a changing selection of popular items, I expected a fresh, like homemade, even B&B quality breakfast. I was disappointed with what was served.
First, it was served late for breakfast. 8am, which delayed our day's plans. Then the breakfast was sparse, barely what I would consider a continental breakfast. There were 2 cold cereals, oatmeal packets, bagels and previously frozen French toast that had been warmed up. The website should just say that some breakfast type items are available later in the morning, but by no means should they advertise what is served as a breakfast.
Go to one of the restaurants down the hill or near the resorts for a good breakfast and only depend on Columbine for a nice clean room.
