Heritage Inn is built in the narrow strip of land between the Gulberga Fort and the road, and behind the hotel is the Fort. Hotel is apprx 3 km from Gulberga railway station and near to city Bus stand.
Though hotel looks attractive in elevation, rooms seemed slightly old and was not comparable with professional hotels. Room size was just okay, the overall cleanliness in the room need to be improved. AC was working fine.
During my stay, I found fewer guests in this hotel. The restaurant reminded me about old fashioned eateries, complementary break fast was available, I have not tried,

Dinner was served to our room and was tasted okay.
The water in the trench surrounding the fort is a breeding ground for mosquitoes but the hotel management has adequately shielded your room windows and other openings using mosquito net. They have also plugged in liquid mosquito repellents in rooms, I never had mosquito bite issue in the room. I selected this hotel as it was the closest one near railway station.

There is nothing special about this hotel. I rate this an ABOVE AVERAGE hotel close to Fort and Gulberga railway station

Room tip: Fort facing rooms

I stayed here on 18.09.2017 for one night, and I have stayed here many times before.

Gulbarga is the seat of Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah, and it has many other attractions. However, my visits to this town are for professional engagements.

Remarkably, the hotel and rooms are very quite and calm, though it is located in the center of the town. If you are a walk in or an offline guest, you 24 hours’ check in / check out time, which is convenient at times.

They provide delicious buffet breakfast, but you won’t find tea coffee maker in the room. If you want tea / coffee early in the morning, you have wait till 0700 hours.

Wifi is complimentary.

The rooms and bathrooms are big, but the bathrooms are not as clean as those should. In this visit, I noticed some minor plumbing issues, which they fixed instantly.

The food is great. One must try variety.

Full marks on service too.

No neatness at all. Prices are low. Rooms are in very unhygienic condition. Air condition are not working properly. The only thing good was the staff, they were polite and attentive. Overall not at all recommended.

Positive points about this hotel are
1. Central location: close to bus stand, railway station, Gulbarga fort, lake, sharanabasaveshwara temple
2. Most of the hotel staff are courteous and eager to help. They are open to suggestions
3. The food is reasonably good if one likes spicy food
4. Toiletries (soap and shampoo) are replenished daily.
5. Room air conditioners are good and effective.
Negative points about this hotel are
1. During our visit to this hotel in monsoons the hotel was flooded with house flies and the food was not being kept covered until we strongly insisted.
2. The menu for buffet breakfast is limited and there is very little variety
3.There is no 24 hour hot water supply. It is made available in the morning. In the evening you could get a bucket of hot water upon request
4.The hotel is not very clean and looks old
5. Free Wifi is not available in the rooms and is available only in reception and restaurant.
To summarize, this hotel may be considered only for a short stay of 1-2 days at Gulbarga

Hotel room and food is average, although they charges around 1100/- AC is good. Sleep is not that good. As the cot and matressess are old and not good. Car parking is outside of the hotel. Security is present.
