The hotel is located in the centre of Calasetta, within easy reach of both the port and the town centre. However, I'm afraid it really does seem to be stuck back in the early 90s. To be fair the rooms have 3 different categories, we were in the medium category, but it really looked like no works had been done for a long time. The bathroom had cracked tiles and when I first had a shower I found a long hair in it. The bedsheets however were clean, so I won't hold it against them, but the bathroom was definitely a little manky. The worse aspect however was the soundproofing. I was woken up on Saturday morning at 8am with plumbing works from the adjacent bathroom and on the Sunday too with a lot of noise from the corridor and room next door. Breakfast also left a lot to be desired. Maybe the top range rooms are better, but for €100 per night you can get much nicer B&Bs!

We stayed here for two nights in honeymoon. The first night we had quite a nice room and were happy in it until we had breakfast which is all processed food. Nothing is fresh. Cheap croissants, bad yoghurt, bad cheese and meat with bad coffee and juice. We left for the day to come back and discover they had moved us (and all our stuff) to another room. I really didn't appreciate that. They said they made a mistake as someone else had specifically chosen that room.. So did we! They packed up our case and moved it.. Not cool. I Would stay somewhere else in future and would definitely not recommend this hotel.

Dear Guests,
we're really sorry for what happened during your stay here.
Unfortunately your room was already booked several weeks before your arrival and we couldn't have the time to inform you about your room change.
We always try to do our best to take care of our Guests, but sometimes some mistake can occour..
You then obviously didn't appreciate our breakfast. I'd just like to inform you our breakfast is absolutely adequate to a 3 star hotel.

All our best wishes

right in the centre of Calasetta but a quiet location and very handy for the ferry on a lovely island

I had a room on the ground floor near reception but there was a fire door that could be closed at night to ensure there was no noise penetrating the bedroom

the staff were pleasant and the breakfast good

but as with all the hotels on this trip we were there only for a short while until we moved on so it was really just a bed for the night and a shower

Thank you for choosing us and let's hope you'll come again and have a great time here!

The Cala di Seta is a lovely hotel in a pleasant, peaceful little town. No noise, no crowds, several nice restaurants and coffee shops within strolling distance, and very handy for the ferry to Carloforte. We had a large, spacious, comfortable room with a little balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful and the price was inexpensive. We would definitely stay here again.

This family-run hotel is a lot of value for your money. For less than 80eur/night in July we had a clean, spacious and tastefully decorated double room in the centre of the little village of Calasetta. On top, our hostesses were rich in info and tips on beaches, restaurants and day trips.

Calasetta is a quiet village at the northern-most top of the island of sant'antioco, we picked it originally as the ferry for Carloforte (on San Pietro) departs from here, however we ended up just navigating off the coast of san Pietro on board of a fishing boat, a trip which I'm comfortable recommending (http://www.pescaturismoiduefratelli.com) because not only you'll experience the collection of the nets, but also cause the chef on board will really cook up a full lunch (starter, pasta and main) with the catch of the day. Just make sure you agree the tour before boarding: we indulged too much in eating and didn't have enough time to go all around the island!

Overall we felt very welcome at hotel cala di seta, and we really cannot say there was anything wrong, however there are a couple of things that could improve the experience:
- the rooms have aircon but no fridge, which is most needed in the heath of the summer
- a safe would also be most welcome, esp in the room we had, which was facing a terrace
- breakfast ends too early (9.30 am) and was not special enough for me to be willing to wake up in the morning, however the morning I showed up they were very happy to prepare a decaf coffee for me at the bar as the machine in the breakfast room doesn't have decaf
- cleaning starts way too early if you're hoping to have a slip-in: even if the lady doesn't get into your room (you can lock yourself in so that she can't open from outside - the "no disturb" sign is not provided), she'll make so much noise in the rooms all around you that you'll need ear plugs to keep on sleeping after 9 30
