Karrie and I were looking for a change around Launceston, just of the A30 on our way across to Callington.

We found the Archers very easily. It was quiet for a Saturday lunch, just another family and Karrie and I.
The staff were friendly and helpful.
We both ordered a simply Ham, Egg and Chips. Very reasonably priced.
When the meals arrived they had some lovely thick slices of ham with generous portion of chunky chips.

went to the Archers Arms today for lunch with my husband, dad and father in law. i had a BBQ chicken melt which only came with chips. the chicken was a bit dry and tough to eat which makes me think it was cooked on the griddle. there was too much bbq sauce on the chicken so you couldn't taste the cheese or bacon. although the meal was reasonably priced i would of liked some peas or a grilled tomato with the meal. the chips was really nice though. my dad and husband had a nice chicken dish which was on the special board and my father in law had a rump steak with all the trimmings. all reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful especially as we had a 3 month old baby with us.

Thank you for your 3* review, I’m sorry the BBQ chicken melt was over done for your liking, had you of mentioned it to the staff when you were asked if all was ok with your meal we would of happily cooked you a fresh one. We always do our best to make sure our customers leave satisfied with their meal. if you visit us again please let us know if something is not to your taste and we will cook you a fresh one!
As for not coming with peas or a side of some description, I will note your feedback as we are looking to change and edit our menu, so will bare that in mind for the future!

Thank you
