I choose Yercaud to avoid the summer crowd at Ooty and kodai.GRT was a obvious choice because of its brand and repute. I think i didn't make a bad choice. The resort is located on the cliff edge, away from the main town ,surrounded by coffee plantations and other vegetation. The valley view from the balcony is good and you can also get a good view of salem city in night with the lights on and also the limestone mines.Beware ! don't keep your balcony open always because of the monkey menace. The food served is the resort is good, bit pricey though and service standards are more than acceptable .The resort has a good pool and indoor games likes tt,snooker, fuss ball, carom and chess. The half day visit of Yercaud was well arranged ,so was the 1 hr coffee plantation tour. On the minuses,i wish the facility had more child/kids friendly facilities like kids furniture ,food etc. Its a nature resort, so rooms attract insects easily, need to be careful.Lastly the food prices were very high ,sometimes even higher then in big airports. Overall, it was a pleasant experience and should be a nice get away for a weekend or a short break with family and friends .
