This hotel makes for a pleasant stay in Khammam. I was here as a tourist, because I wanted to visit the Fort /kila located in this town. The S Park is within easy walking distance of both the bus and rail stations, and similarly close to the Fort.
Reception was helpful, and quickly had me installed in a room on the third level. The room was spacious, with good wardrobe, large mirror, quiet a/c, comfortable bed to assist in a sound sleep, comfortable chairs (and not all hotel chairs are comfortable), large writing desk, and heavy blackout curtains. The bathroom is equipped with a very good shower, hot water throughout the day, plenty of bench space in the bathroom, which was very welcome, and modern toilet. The only thing I didn't like was that the mat in front of the shower was not clean; I turned it over, and was amazed how grubby it was.
The restaurant has a good range of offerings for the evening meal. The food itself was a bit too spicy for me, but that may not be a problem for Indian guests. I wasn't sure why management keep, the lighting in the restaurant so dim. It was difficult to read the menu, and I simply couldn't see what was written on the bill. The young waiter must have found other diners have the same problem, because he produced a torch from his pocket! The breakfast offerings, while limited, are well prepared and tasty.
So, minor issues aside this is a good value hotel, and most importantly somewhere to which to retire for a good night's sleep.
