Direct all night, Left at 4:30PM Hawaii time, had good tail wind, arrived early! Bags were out promptly. During flight only food provided was small bag of pretzels and drinks, can buy from United menu $$. Entertainment equipment on this flight, many movies to choose from, bring your ear buds as they don't offer any.
Beautiful sunrise over Newark Ports.
Purchase larger leg room seats, which we did, gave much needed breathing room.

I flu from Hong Kong to New York with United and it was a terrible experience. I understand cabin crew work long hours and have been this job for a very long time, but I think that having people that has being doing this job for 30 or 40 years working on a 15 hours flight is not the best business decision, the crew was tired and grumpy, they didn't even greet the passengers and mostly throw the food at people during the flight. It was a long and exhausted flight for us too but no need to treat people this badly, I think they should have young more energetic staff on these flight to help making the experience more pleasant. The plane, the entertainment and the food were really bad too. Honesty is this airline going out of business and they don't care anymore?

International flight goes through LAX. United booked connection without enough time to get through customs and onto the next flight. You have to pick up checked luggage, walk half of LAX to terminal 4 then go back through security. Impossible to make flight and they book you on 4 flights to SFO later because other flights are booked so you sit in airport half a day. Solution would be original booking to have been on a connection flight one hour later. And the kicker was getting assigned middle seats when you originally had aisle seats. United should know the connection is impossible to make and suggest the later connection flight from the beginning.

It was a10.5 hour direct flight from Chicago. During the 10.5 hours there were two drink carts and one snack cart; both for cash/credit. Video was on your iPad if you could connect to the plane's wifi. The staff was very nice and came through with water a couple of times. The plane wasn't packed, so there was some room to move. We arrived on time.

We needed to fly the same day of the beginning of the conference at Paris hotel and casino. United had a wednesday 6am direct flight to Vegas which was perfect. Check in line at SFO was wide open and plenty of kiosks and so was going through TSA security. This allowed us plenty of time to make our flight and even eat breakfast at the airport. Boarding was smooth also for the return trip, thanks to the ground crew for helping us get seats next to each other! Great value highly recommend.
