Seamless check in. Quality meals available, even with a fussy vegetarian in the party via the book the cook facility. Cabin crew were well presented and ready to assist at any time. Flatbeds were roomy, comfortable and easy to operate. Great range of entertainment available. Nice touch with the express pass to beat queues at LHR.

I was in China and needed to return home when my mother fell ill and was not going to make it through. I was at the airport when I received this news so decided to return home. Singapore Airlines was the earliest flight available and I was told for the one way economy seat was $2200 AUD. This was well above what I could really afford but had no choice but buy the ticket. I did explain the situation to the counter staff but no compassion was given just told there was no discount on that fare. the thing is I flew to Asia with Singapore but still no consideration given. SO A BIG THANK YOU TO SINGAPORE AND ANY OTHER AIRLINE THAT PRAYS ON PEOPLE IN THE SAME SITUATION. VERY BAD.

AWESOME!! The hostesses all look the same!! They all fit in the same sized uniform and are all so friendly and smiley that you struggle to recognise them. The plane was half empty so they offered me a full set of 4 seats to make a bed and sleep.

For an airline that is the benchmark of customer service, I have noticed in my recent travels in SQ that the standards are rapidly declining

I just flew from Delhi to Melbourne via Singapore. The Del-Sin route was an antiquated aircraft with controls for entertainment in the 1980s. The movie selection is so much lower than any other airline of repute - even the less hospitable USA based airlines do better

But the key issues were in the SIN-MEL route. This was a red eye flight and throughout the night, the amount of chatter by the crew with the passengers, with no effort to keep voices down was painful. Inane announcements were made all the time and getting a wink of sleep was impossible. The amenities kit has fancy stuff for laundry but no toothbrush or basic amenities. The flat bed's angle and narrow finish is impossible for anyone more than 5 ft in height to lie down

There is only so much a brand will be able to survive poor or declining product quality

We arrived at Singapore airport from Manchester and our connecting flight to Bali was an hour and 40 minutes later. Arrived on time into Gate E12 with departing flight from Gate F56 both in Terminal 2. Took about 40 mins from leaving airline to gate F56 ...... a large airport!
Left 15 mins late as they were waiting for an incoming connecting flight, kept passengers fully informed and no further delays.
Onboard service excellent, friendly chatty staff that go the extra mile
