“Small seats and overweight passenger next to me”
Review of IndiGo

Reviewed 22 October 2024

I recently flew with Indigo Airlines 6e5272 seat no. 16E and was allotted a center seat. Unfortunately, the person next to me on seat16F was significantly overweight upto 130 to140Kg and occupied more than just his seat, which made my journey quite uncomfortable as the person on 16D was a Girl. I felt squeezed for the entire flight, with little room to move.

While I understand that seat sizes on flights are generally limited, I think Indigo could benefit from addressing these kinds of situations, either by offering more spacious seating or alloting double seat to overweight people above certain weight to ensure the comfort of all passengers. I hope Indigo will consider policies that can create a more pleasant experience for everyone.

Reached to indigo counter at 7 am. On line Check in was already done. Was shuffled from counter to counter and then I was told I am too late.Cant take the luggage and option was given to pay more money and get 3 Pam flight. Counter customer service was very disappointing. saw a foreign national lady literally crying on their counter. I tried to contact manger and was not able ro do for more than 20 minutes. and same music was played that all has been closed now. Staff and counter is laughing at people who are requesting. Cant imagine this kind of Carrier has recruited nonsense staff. Try some other service provider I hope may be better then these people. Feeling lucky to live in Sydney then in India. Indigo managment look into it and pick up your services.

Customer Review: Disappointing Experience at Vadodara Airport with Indigo

I recently traveled with a religious group via Indigo at Vadodara Airport, and our experience was marred by poor customer service. After checking in, we found ourselves 5kg overweight. I removed 1.5kg and transferred some light items to my hand luggage, which then weighed 7.2kg.

Unfortunately, the customer service manager, Sujata Thokkar, accused me of transferring weight to other members of my group without having weighed my original hand luggage. We did adjust our bags, but nothing excessive. By the time I got to the counter, the others had already gone through security.

Sujata reacted angrily and insisted her staff pull everyone's luggage, ignoring the explanations from both my group and her own colleagues. Her rude and unprofessional behavior created a tense scene that reflected poorly on both us and Indigo. Despite attempts to clarify the situation, she refused to acknowledge her miscalculations and escalated the situation further, threatening to weigh all our luggage.

Such behavior is not what one expects from a leader. Sujata could have handled this matter with professionalism and courtesy, allowing us to explain without raising her voice. This incident, combined with our flight being delayed by two hours, made for a very frustrating experience.

I hope Indigo can address these customer service issues to prevent similar situations in the future.

Today I had the most disappointing experience at Vadodara Airport with Indigo and "manager" Miss Sujata Thokkar.

Im traveling with a religious group (including a Swamji) via Indigo Airlines at Vadodara Airport, and our experience was marred by poor customer service.

Sujata reacted angrily and insisted her staff pull everyone's luggage from my group, ignoring the explanations from both my group and her own colleagues. Her rude and unprofessional behavior created a tense scene that reflected poorly on Indigo. Despite attempts to clarify the situation, she refused to acknowledge her miscalculations and escalated the situation further, threatening to pull my entire group luggage's that had been checked in an re weigh all our luggage. Her colleagues also tried to explain to her however she would not listen and instead decided to inflate her ego and demand that we are over charged.

Such behavior is not what one expects from a leader. Sujata could have handled this matter with professionalism and courtesy, allowing us to explain without raising her voice. This incident, combined with our flight being delayed by two hours, made for a very frustrating experience. We are a group of 24 people on a spiritual Yatra throughout India. We flew with Indigo three times and did not have this experience or luggage issues with our same baggages.

I hope Indigo can address these customer service issues to prevent similar situations in the future.
