“Stupid Business Seat Configuration”

Paid a lot of money to sit face to face with someone I didn't know.
The Business Class seat configuration is the most unfriendly & stupid one I have ever seen. It is a 2 x4 x2 across with the three outside seats all facing the opposite direction.The middle aisle seat is divided from the centre 2 seats with a privacy window...when this is down you are staring straight at the person sitting next to you!!
The flight attendants then have to lean over the aisle seat to serve the two people sitting in the middle two seats.
On top of this when the aisle seat is made into the flat bed, the two centre passengers have to climb over the aisle bed and disturb the passenger sleeping...this is also dangerous especially for elderly passengers.
Must say the young crew were quite good.

BA need to retire their aged 747's and invest in some dreamliners or similar. The crew love them but they are showing their age and too many things are behind the leaders - small video screens; tray tables that sag; toilets that don't quite work etc.... Otherwise, the flight, service, food etc were competent but not exciting. Crew are very BA.... not the best turned out on the world but "sassy" and funny. It's a shame that the airline doesn't seem to want to keep up with the leaders anymore.....
Their policy of requiring nearly £70 each way from London to New York to prebook a business class seat for which you have paid almost £3k is awful/terrible/a disgrace.

Glasgow to Las Vegas in business class to get the “ bed” .
Absolute fortune and only perk is having a seat that moves into a quasi bed . No staff help offered to help assemble .
Even worse if you are in the middle row as every meal or drink is precariously dangled over the aisle passenger and privacy screen up and down like a yo yo !
The cabin crew can’t even be compared to Emirates or even Virgin - no help or even inclination to help “ there’s your bed now sleep “

We usually are very fond of BA but charging for a cup of tea. Are they trying to copy Ryanair
Even the cheap US airlines give out water, soft drinks tea and coffee..

Arrived at the gate and boarded quickly. Staff were attentive with the seating and making you feel comfortable. The amenities included sleeping pajamas which made it much more comfortable in the fully reclining seat. the food was very good although NOT excellent. The entertainment system was excellent for the Boeing 747. Left on time and arrived on time. The cleanliness in the lavoratories was not up to standard.
