Alert: An international bank with An USA-address credit card will work sporadically in the country. Bolt and Uber does not work with a USA-address card. Even Azerbaijan Airlines did not accepted an An international bank with An USA-address credit card to pay for upgrades at the airport. Everything has to be paid in currency. Hotel chains such as Fairmont, Radisson accepted the USA-address credit card.
The airport is new and efficient, getting a taxi was easy.

Service on the flight was good. The meal ws decent n good Azerbaijani wine was served. But what I absolutely loved about them was, when we deplaned our baby stroller was ready waiting for us by the plane door. Have not experienced this before. Was super convenient as we were flying with our 18 month toddler. The airline staff were also very helpful with luggage assistance etc. Leg space in economy was decent.

This Airline is a joke. Tickets are on the level of huge carriers like Turkish, British or Lufthansa but the service is so bad. Machine had a technical failure. Hours of waiting to get any info. After 6 hours put to a hotel. Flight to Baku. Stranded because no connection flight. Again Same procedure. Ask three time if the bag is in the airplane. Arrived and no bag. Again nobody responsible. Nobody knows anything. A J O K E. even low cost carriers like Ryan Air etc. have ten times better service etc.

My experience with Azerbaijan airlines was HELL. They sold me an overpriced ticket, and in the airport I had been told that my name was not on the list!!! They kept me and my 5 YO son for three hours awaited and in the end they accommodated the other 6 passengers with same condition but rejected to get us aboard!! To me the only reason was that I was non-Azari speaker. The behavior of staff in Tehran was above unprofessional- they were extremely rude and racist! They don’t even worth score 0. My only advice is to not travel with this airline!

Initially, there was no business class available. The check-in and luggage handling process was disorganized and poorly managed. Locals were given preference in line over us.

The flight attendant had a bad attitude and did not treat the guests well. Despite saying to pay extra, there was no additional food provided; they said it would only be available if pre-booked. Additionally, the flight attendant told us to get our water from the cabin area.

It is suggested to train the employees to treat guests/customers properly.
