Quick trip to Bethlehem, made it to Piedmont Triad Airport (GSO) with time to spare. Flight board before TSA had me at Gate 40, I'm sure! I get through TSA no problem, see Gate 42 boarding, grab a water across at Starbucks. Went to 42, everyone else was, scanned and was told by a VERY rude guy, wrong gate. I told him I was going to PHL and I thought Gate 40. He smirked and pointed to 40. I sit a bit and hear "last call for Philly, Gate 44! Rude dude is still at 42 and seemed to be entertained that I'd been sitting at the wrong gate and almost missed my flight! I don't usually fly American and probably won't again.
Unreliable. Terrible customer service, boarding denied for overselling then rebooked us for a flight 7 hours later. We waited at Newark for 7 hours without being notified that the flight was cancelled. NEVER FLYING WITH AA AGAIN.
American airline has the worth check-in bags policy. My family of 3 bought 3 round trip tickets to Thailand from San Francisco. The trip was good to Thailand with 2 bags check-in per person. Then the con from American airline starts on our way back to USA. At the airport, the American airline scam us that we have zero bags allowed check-in on our way back. What? I have to pay $100 each bags to check-in, which total to $600 more. They said you should have read the fine prints. We did read the fine print but they changed it when they want. So be very careful, of the American airline baggage scam. I'm selling all my stocks with American airline. All the other passengers that was on the flight experience the same baggage scam. Be a warning to anyone, never fly American airline, unless you want to return with no baggage.
If you have the choice, do NOT ever fly with American Airlines, especially not out of DFW. Both on the way to and from my destination I had major delay issues. This is the most unreliable airline I’ve ever flown with and I would pick any budget airline over this. You WILL have issues with operations, the customer service agents do NOT care about you, they will be extremely rude to you. I have worked in customer service management and hospitality management for years. These people either do not receive training, or they are not supervised. They scroll Instagram on their phones while you are attempting to find solutions with them. They will be rude to you, they will tell you to go wait in a line, with 400 people in it, to speak with someone at the customer service desk, while your flight gets delayed every 30 minutes, while giving you 8 different excuses and a really poor attitude. They will blame everything on everybody else because it is not their problem. Most of these “workers” should be fired. Again, DO NOT FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES!!!!
