Before booking our family travel, I contacted American Airlines to verify that my three year old daughter would be seated next to at least one parent for our flights. To my surprise, when checking in hours before my flight, I realized they placed my three year old daughter in between two strangers for the connecting flight. And the wait time to speak with someone is 1.5 - 3 hours. Never again.

Checked baggage thievery. While writing this review is probably more effort than the monetary loss on my return trip from Punta Cana on October 23, I feel it is time to vent. We have been flying United Airlines from Phila to Punta Cana since 2011. Over this time, I have paid for checked baggage only to have small items stolen from our luggage on the return trip from Punta Cana. These are not large value items, small LED flashlights, scissors and small but costly Swiss army knives. Thanks to TSA, I cannot carry a 1 inch long blade on my key chain swiss army knife with my carry on. Go figure. So I pack it in my checked bag only to find it is not in the luggage when I arrive in Phila. As I said before, this has happened sever times before with other small items. To make this more annoying, I paid $35 for the luggage which IMHO should have been included in the price of the ticked as is normal for all other international travel that I do. So if anyone from AA reads this reiview, please tll me what I need to do to prevent these thefts going forwars?

My first time flying was a heart breaking moment being trap out of the country is very unprofessional and disappointing the flight attendance didn't ask if we need water or anything. I am in hospitaly field and very great at it plane couldn't start because they couldn't fix the luggage door so they cancel my plane to the next morning after being there at 8am
I arrive the next morning at 7am to final try to make it back to the unite states then the next plane made had a delay and made me miss my second fight to Atlanta ga so I had to wait to 12:00am the next morning when I walk in the house I was frustrated because I only took enough medicine due being a diebetic this is my life very upset

My flight was delayed for more then 3 hours for mechanical issues. Was never offered a different flight until I asked at the gate after 3 hrs went by. I am an advantage member but there are refusing to give me a refund.

I had reservations from MSP to DFW to Paris. My American Airlines flight was delayed from MSP to DFW due to bad weather. I had a very tight connection at DFW airport with only 45 minutes to spare. The flight was delayed by over 60 minutes, meaning I would have missed my flight to Paris. I disembarked the plane because I would have missed my flight to Paris. Airlines are not required to refund or issue credits for delays due to bad weather. However, AA issued a flight credit to be used within a year. I did not have to call AA to ask for a credit. It automatically appeared on my account. I would like to thank AA for issuing this flight credit and for the great service I've received in the past. I will definitely be flying with AA again.
