Depart and arrive on time; cabin crew very good; Admirals Club lounge in TPA always a pleasant experience; check in and boarding no issues...all in all a pleasant trip.

The flight was comfortable, due to no one sitting in the middle seat. main complaint was the 45 minute delay before takeoff without an explanation. Made for a very tight connection in PHL that I thankfully didn't miss.

Flight left on time and arrived 25 minutes early--that can be a good thing if ground crew ready when arrive--had to wait 7 minutes for jetway! Cabin crew was among best we have had in long time---personable, attentive and efficient. Meal choice (stuffed poblano pepper) not great!!
Admirals Club Lounge at PHX adjacent to Gate A21 was cramped, needed more attentive staff (dirty dishes, papers , food scraps/crumbs on many seats,..) and the snacks area needed refreshing and clean up.

.via Philadelphia out....AND returning via Charlotte as advised by my travel consultant. All on AA.

Last visited the USA around 10years ago using Virgin when you got proper paper tickets, so I was a bit concerned all these e-tickets, online or anything else would be a problem but thankfully not...!
Was visiting my cousin in Richmond Virginia for Thanksgiving with my husband & adult son. Our outward flight was delayed 1hr 10mins due to some 'maintenance problem' & there was a chance we could miss our connection at PHL, but fortunately we made it. All flights were comfortable on the A330, quite roomy, although it was only 2 engines which make me a bit twitchy, service was very good & the food was very good on the outbound flight but not as appetising on the return although both included snacks as well. Soft drinks & (delicious) white wine is free, but if you want spirits you have to pay by credit card?? Plenty of choice of inflite entertainment, as well as a free blanket & pillow which you can take away. The internal flights PHL/RIC/CLT were on smaller planes. Our return flight was trouble free although some turbulence at times, but the landing at LHR was PERFECT, very smooth which is a long time I have experienced the perfect landing. The Captain really looked the part in his smart uniform, hat, clearly with years of experience & friendly personality. Ryan air could learn a thing or 2 from this guy "How to land a plane"!! Last used Virgin but will choose American next time if they fly there.

every time we went to fly with this airline they gave us no 5 section witch means u are last on I asked why we got this number and they said we had booked an isle seat what a load of crap there were lots of people who got on before us they hat section 2/3 /4 / and they were sitting down when we got on u are going to ask me whats the big deal the over head lockers were all full when we got on we hat to put them a further 20 rows back of the plane
