The lie flat sleeper seats are first rate; food was OK. Makes a great connecting flight for Australia.

As we have come to expect from Air NZ, from the boarding greeting, service, smoothness of the flight and landing was flawless.

An easy automated check in process with staff to help if there are any problems. Flight was on time and was only 2 hrs long. Lovely friendly staff with tea, coffee or water plus a small snack served.

This was my first International flight with Air New Zealand and it was a great experience. I will definately try using them for future oversea's excursion's. I always travel economy and the service here was great as was the entertainment and the food.

AirNZ web site flight assist is very good right from the start. It can ferret out which days are cheaper than others and there can be a big difference in flight costs.

I found a great deal on a multi-city - Sydney to San Fran, SF to Las Vegas, LV to LA and then home. Premium economy except for the two domestic USA legs (economy on United).
Air NZ premium Economy seats were revised about 1 or 2 years ago and the legroom and width is great. Big touch screens which I had to lean forward to touch there is so much space. And the touch screens are touchy - no more stabbing at the screen to try and get it to react - light touch and instant response.
The recline is quite good - no head bobbing forward while sleeping.
The foot rest thing I had to assist to get any height once released and the bar that unfolded for my heals was far to short so my knees were high in the air. Never quite worked that out, so I didn't use it. But leg rest itself comfortable with good support under my calves.
Food. Fantastic. Best food in the skies by far. Great selection of wines as well.
If I was to criticize anything at all, it would be a lack of extra storage around the seat. There is the customary pouch on the back of the seat in front, and thats all. There is a small platform at the end of the armrest, but you have to take anything off it to open the tray tables. Sure is a lot of room on the floor for a bag under the seat in front and your feet will never touch it, but its also so far away its not easy to grab and get stuff out of and push back the leg room is so very good and the front seat so far away. Overheads hold heaps also, but thats getting up and down out of the seat all the time. But its a minor complaint - premium economy seat and features otherwise is a very nice place to be. And lovely staff also.
