Hard to fault. Great service and excellent aircraft. In AKL transit,

Very good business lounge, breakfast and shower facilities, but why do they let themselves down so badly with 10 cent shaving kits?? A really painful experience. Maybe they should offer a $1 premium upgrade option?

I didnt know what to expect on this long haul service from Hong Kong to Auckland, i neednt have worried.

I had a window seat and two spare seats next to me (although a nice Kiwi lady did join me on the isle seat to give her more room)

The cabin crew were pleasant and helpful and served a lovely chicken dinner.

Plus the inflight entertainment was superb as was the moving map to track our position.

And to top it all my bag arrived from London without me seeing it in Hong Kong.. hooray..

Payed that little bit extra on this flight to see if it was worth it , well and truly was service exceptional , great new planes and inflight entertainment , food was also excellent . The extra 50 pounds a head for skycouch was definitely worth it for the extra bit of legroom .
My favourite little extra was being able to order a drink via your tv entertainment system . Great stuff highly recommend!!!

The flight was fine but left some good rather expensive sunglasses in the pocket of the seat. Called Air NZ, filled out the form, got a reply that they sent it to lost property and then heard nothing. Resent the email. Finally a reply- no glasses. Shame on the cleaners for being thieves. They were definitely there. And when does the airline make the cleaners responsible for honesty? When they have thieved a laptop or what? There must be a record of staff who were on the duty of cleaning up after that flight, or any flight and so why are they not questioned as to what happened to the sunglasses or what ever may have been forgotten to be picked up by the passenger. Not a great system. Staff on the plane were lovely and friendly and check in- no issues. A cup of tea and a snack-perfect.

Bad weather meant that the airline was unable to land or to take off on our expected departure date at the end of our holiday. The Air NZ pilot and first officer approached groups of awaiting customers and explained the cause of our delay, answering all questions to the best of their knowledge. They stayed and sat with groups and had coffee, then came back later again to keep us updated on the anticipated time and date of delayed departure. They showed great patience with elderly customers' queries, a good sense of humour and overall they provided excellent customer service on behalf of the airline.
