A quality airline, they staff care a lot about its passengers. good food and drink with luxury service, the only complaint is the expense of flying domestic in New Zealand.

I recommend air new Zealand.

This is a flight I find my self always doing, I would recommend to fly during the day because you can see the scenery. If you fly on a clear night you will be able to see Marlborough.

We flew with Air New Zealand from Auckland-Wellington. Wellington to Sydney and Sydney to Auckland during the Lions tour June/July. At all three airports where we were checking in the self service machines were not working. The ground staff at Wellington were unhelpful and caused a lost of frustration with fellow passengers on the tour,and eventually checked us all in. However as this was a block booking friends and family were split up. We also had to tag our own cases and load them onto the conveyer belt. On the opposite side the ground staff at Sydney airport while faced with the same problems were more than helpful. The staff on all flights were excellent and the food served was of a good quality.

A bit of a smile all the way, from boarding to departure we were made to feel welcome and looked after. The seats (or whatever they are called) were extremely comfortable and everything was accessible. Plenty of storage and the extra privacy was much appreciated. the first meal was served promptly and was delicious, by the time we ate everything on offer and washed it down with wine, it was time for the crew to make up the bed and go to sleep. The bed was comfortable and warm and sleep was no problem, woke to a good breakfast and then touchdown. the only minor note of discord was an inability to find enough suitable viewing, having flown on Air NZ recently it was pretty much all the same and I ended up watching the same movie for the third time. I have to say the current safety video with the 'angels' is probably the worst for a long time.
Unfortunately as usual we found it cheaper to purchase our tickets with another partner airline, even though this leg of the trip was Air NZ.

My wife and I flew on Friday 18th August on NZ176 and Toni on check in was beautiful and so charming, a gorgeous lady offering old style customer service!
On arriving on board our flight Pamela was so welcoming and made our trip so comfortable and again good old customer service!
Nothing was a bother so congratulations to your crew!
