“Friendly little airline”
Review of Air Rarotonga

Reviewed 5 January 2018

A great and safe little airline With friendly and attentive staff. The local airline of the Cook Islands and the one you will be flying on, if you are gonna visit other islands in the island Chain than Rarotonga. They operate a fleet of one Saab 340A and two Embraer EMB-110P1 Bandeirante.

What a fun and friendly Airline. From check in to baggage retrieval these are some great folks. They are the only option you have for inter island flights, and with some airlines that control a market, they can become weak in customer service and friendliness, this is not the case with Air Raro, they are a pleasure to fly. We look forward to it every year!

Expensive yes, but the only choice. Its an exoerience today to hop on and hop off with no officious security people hassling you....all is very relaxed. Beware baggage limitations on the Saab 340. Friendly service with island hibiscus in the hair (the chosen side of the head signifies different things!). Great views if weather is fine

A pleasant journey on this 34 passenger twin propeller driven aircraft.

Seats were arranged in a row of singles on the left, doubles on the right side of the aisle and four seats across the back.

There is no toilet, so make yourself comfortable before boarding for this 50 minute flight

At NZ$526 return the fares aren't cheap for a 50 minute flight, but a visit to Aitutaki is worth it.

Carry on luggage is limited to one item weighing less than 3 Kilogrammes. Checked in luggage is limited to 23 Kilogrammes.

Water, tea and coffee is offered during the flight and soft drinks may be purchased
